Doing Well So Far [Original post: March 19, 2008]

I realized earlier today that I have done something. I remembered a blog I posted almost 3/4s of a year ago that was essentially a list of my goals. The first goal was to become class president. Miraculously, I pulled that one off, thanks to the help of a LOT of people =]. What made me remember my list was the third goal I had listed, to be accepted to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, which just so happens to be the second goal on the list I achieved. When I made that list, I don’t know how serious I was being. I wanted something to do at the time, but I also wanted something to try for. Looking back, I don’t know if I actually believed I could do those things. For even more good news, Arab High School Beta Club swept through the state convention and picked up several state titles! What I do know is that I’m in high school for about two and a half more months. That’s it. Will I complete that list? Well, that’s anyone’s guess. For now, I’m just content being me, president or not, accepted or not, state champ or not, but always Drew.
